Lacquer, translucent and printed stretch ceilings: differences and uses
One system, 3 surfaces: reflective lacquer (40 colours in stock), light-transmitting translucent (2 colours) and UV-printed membrane.

What they share
All three types are installed the same way, under tension and without damaging the existing ceiling. The difference lies in how the surface treats light and what image it carries.
Lacquer stretch ceiling
Lacquer membrane is made of PVC or polyester. It forms a flat, smooth, high-gloss surface; because it reflects light, rooms look brighter and larger.
It is used in commercial spaces, hotels, restaurants, show venues and homes. It resists water and moisture, so it also suits bathrooms and kitchens. It is easy to clean and resists stains.
We keep 40 lacquer colours in stock on rolls at all times.
Translucent stretch ceiling
It is called translucent because it lets light through. This makes it suitable for luminous ceilings lit from behind the membrane, giving the room a bright, open feel.
It is used in commercial buildings, shopping malls, exhibition halls, hotels, homes and swimming pools. The ice white and daylight colours are always in stock.
Digitally printed stretch ceiling
A logo, landscape, abstract pattern, advertising message or photograph is printed directly onto the membrane. It is used in shops, restaurants, hotels, exhibition areas, show venues and homes to reinforce a brand identity or give a space its own atmosphere. The image can be replaced when needed.
Because stretch ceiling membrane is elastic, it is harder to print than other advertising materials. Over time, UV printing proved to be the most efficient technique. After moving to our Pendik factory in 2017, our daily capacity for digitally printed stretch ceilings rose to 2,500 m².
What UV printing delivers
- Instant curing
- UV ink hardens immediately under light; it does not spread on the surface, so the print stays sharp.
- Resolution
- High resolution and vivid colours, with smooth gradients and detailed graphics.
- Durability
- The cured ink forms a layer that resists water, scratches and UV rays.
- Environment
- UV inks contain no VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
Which one, in short
- Lacquer
- For a glossy, reflective ceiling that makes the room look larger.
- Translucent
- When the ceiling itself is to be a light surface.
- Printed
- When the ceiling carries a logo, image or pattern.
